Review: I really loved this book. The world that Kelly Gay has built is so supremely complex that I really can’t wait to dive into the next books. I really love Charlie. She is a great and complex character. I love the relationship that she has with her daughter and that she, and the relationship is so well written. She also has a great relationship with her sister, that I am so glad we see a lot of. I love seeing familial relationships played out in books, I think that they are something that we do not see enough of so that when I do see them I tend to rave about them! I love the relationship that Charlie has with her (work) partner Hank, they have a good working relationship, but omg do I hardcore ship them, and have since the first book. You can definitely tell, from the first book, that Hank has been into her. There is a lot of sexual tension between the two so I definitely look forward to seeing how that plays out! Off to read the next book, even though I really need to sleep. (Review was written like 6 months ago and recently typed up and adjusted slightly lol)
