“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by breaking the spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

This week’s pre-publication “can’t-wait-to-read” selection is:

fire touchedFire Touched by Patricia Briggs
Publication Date: March 8th, 2016
Series: Mercy Thompson
Genre: Adult Urban Fantasy

Tensions between the fae and humans are coming to a head. And when coyote shapeshifter Mercy and her Alpha werewolf mate, Adam, are called upon to stop a rampaging troll, they find themselves with something that could be used to make the fae back down and forestall out-and-out war: a human child stolen long ago by the fae.

Defying the most powerful werewolf in the country, the humans, and the fae, Mercy, Adam, and their pack choose to protect the boy no matter what the cost. But who will protect them from a boy who is fire touched?

Why I’m waiting for this one? This is one of my favorite series. I’m currently doing a re-read of it and reading in the ‘Mercy Thompson World’ order, which includes the Alpha & Omega books. I should be finished with my re-read right around the time this book comes out and everything will be fresh in my head for it! If you’ve not read this one you should. Mercy is biracial, half Native American half white, she’s sassy, strong, smart, snarky, I basically love everything about her. Not to mention all the amazing werewolves, I’m personally not a huge fan of the vampires, any of them, I do like the fae. Seriously just go read this series!
