Synopsis: After a hive-minded alien race called the Boov conquer the Earth, they relocate the planet’s human population — all except for a little girl named Tip (Rihanna), who’s managed to hide from the aliens. When Tip meets a fugitive Boov called Oh (Jim Parsons), there’s mutual distrust. However, Oh is not like his comrades; he craves friendship and fun. As their distrust fades, the pair set out together to find Tip’s mother, but, unbeknown to them, the Gorg — enemies of the Boov — are en route.

Review: Omg this movie is AMAZING. Seriously amazing. I’ve been excited for it since I saw a preview of it in 2014. I borrowed it from the library (mine let’s you borrow movies for free) and it is seriously become one of my favorite animated, and overall favorite films ever. Tip is so sassy and cute, and I was just so in love with her from the beginning. And she’s such and important character for so many girls and it’s making me tear up just thinking about what she must mean to them! And omg her hair, can we talk about her hair and how lovely it is! I absolutely love curly hair, and I wish more girls/women, especially ones of color, didn’t feel the need to straighten their hair, because curly hair is lovely and beautiful. I loved Oh, he was a great little alien. I loved when he started dancing in the car and was like ‘what is going on with my body!’, I couldn’t help but giggle! Seriously if you have not seen this movie you need to, it is definitely the best.

Stars: ★★★★★
Recommendation: YESSSSSSSSSSS
