Book Recommendation → Written in Red

Books:  Written in Red, Murder of Crows, Vision in Silver, Marked in Flesh, Untitled #5
Genre: Adult Fantasy, Paranormal

As a cassandra sangue, or blood prophet, Meg Corbyn can see the future when her skin is cut—a gift that feels more like a curse. Meg’s Controller keeps her enslaved so he can have full access to her visions. But when she escapes, the only safe place Meg can hide is at the Lakeside Courtyard—a business district operated by the Others.

Shape-shifter Simon Wolfgard is reluctant to hire the stranger who inquires about the Human Liaison job. First, he senses she’s keeping a secret, and second, she doesn’t smell like human prey. Yet a stronger instinct propels him to give Meg the job. And when he learns the truth about Meg and that she’s wanted by the government, he’ll have to decide if she’s worth the fight between humans and the Others that will surely follow.

When I first read this one I had never read an Anne Bishop novel and didn’t really know what to expect going into this book. But omg this series is seriously amazing. I was blown away by Written in Red and the books just keep getting better as the series goes on. I am actually dying for another re-read of these books, I’ve read them multiple times already but I never seem to get tired of them.

I’m doing a re-read of it right now! I love it so much. I’ve read Written in Red at least three times already and I just made a new connection that I didn’t make in the previous reads.
