waiting on wednesday

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by breaking the spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

This week’s pre-publication “can’t-wait-to-read” selection is:

white hotWhite Hot by Ilona Andrews
Publication Date: October 27th, 2015

Nevada Baylor has a unique and secret skill—she knows when people are lying—and she’s used that magic (along with plain, hard work) to keep her colorful and close-knit family’s detective agency afloat. But her new case pits her against the shadowy forces that almost destroyed the city of Houston once before, bringing Nevada back into contact with Connor “Mad” Rogan.

Rogan is a billionaire Prime—the highest rank of magic user—and as unreadable as ever, despite Nevada’s “talent.” But there’s no hiding the sparks between them. Now that the stakes are even higher, both professionally and personally, and their foes are unimaginably powerful, Rogan and Nevada will find that nothing burns like ice.

Why I’m waiting for this one? I just finished the first book in this series and I thought the second book was already out but nooooo I have to wait until October. I did a serious pout the other night because I WANT THIS BOOK SO BAD. I really enjoyed the first one and I wanted to just keep reading!

Other books in this series:

I had only read the Kate Daniels series as well then I picked up this one and I seriously loved it. It’s so different from a lot of UF’s that I’ve read. I also started their other one called Clean Sweep, at first I thought it was a little cheesy but I’m a little more than half way through it and it’s gotten interesting.

I am! I started it and put it on hold but only because I had books that come out before it that I had forgot about to read. I am hoping to pick it back up in the next week or so. I only made it a few chapters in before putting it on hold but it is definitely one of the more interesting urban fantasy books that I have read/started recently.
