Title: Crash Into Love
Author: Sofia Grey
Publication Date: March 10th, 2014
Synopsis: Cass thought spending a month at a beachside hideaway relaxing and collecting shells would be the perfect escape to finish her novel. When she meets the dark and brooding and much younger Jonah, who’s staying next door, her book becomes the last thing on her mind.
Jonah would rather stay home alone than go on vacation with his brother and their friends, but does his best to tolerate the situation after being convinced to go. But when he sees the beauty next door, he can’t avoid his attraction.
Together, they break all the rules, but will Cass be able to bring Jonah out of his shell forever, or will he leave her with only the crash of the surf to keep her company?
Review: I didn’t really enjoy this at all, I think it’s time I stopped reading novellas. They are always too short and the plot feels rushed. The sex scenes in this one were the only redeemable parts of the novella. The biggest problem I had with this was the added bits of the story that Cass was writing. I really could have done without those parts, they felt like word count filler, and I think that the author could have used that word count to better deepen her own story and give us more information on the characters. The main reason that I picked this one up was because the main character was in her thirties and the male counterpart was in his twenties, it’s not something I often see in romance, which is a shame. Overall, I think this was too quick of a read and left me wanting.
Recommendation: Skip it
I received an ARC of this book from Entangled Indulgence on Netgalley. This in no way affected my review.
