Author: Katie McGarry
Series: Pushing the Limits
Publication Date: July 31st, 2012

Synopsis: No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with freaky scars on her arms. Even Echo can’t remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal.

But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo’s world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.

Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she’ll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

Review: This book was so wonderful, heartbreaking and really well written. I love both of the characters and their problems really choked me up. It was nice to actually read a book where you see the characters grow from the things they’re going through and actually see how they cope with bad things instead of an author just telling you. I really didn’t know what to expect from this book when I picked it up to read, I didn’t even read the synopsis, but I really glad that I took the advice of several other bloggers and read it. Also this is a good example at a well done alternating first person point of view, I’ve found few authors who do it well.

Stars: ★★★★
Recommendation: Yes! I do suggest keeping tissues near you though!
