Author: Karen E. Olson
Series: Tattoo Shop Mystery
Publication Date: July 7th, 2009

Synopsis:> Brett Kavanaugh is a tattoo artist and owner of an elite tattoo parlor in Las Vegas. When a girl makes an appointment for a tattoo of the name of her fiancé embedded in a heart, Brett takes the job but the girl never shows. The next thing Brett knows, the police are looking for her client, and the name she wanted on the tattoo isn’t her fiancé’s…

Review: This was a pretty good book. There was enough twists and turns to keep me interested in the book and not to have completely figure out things at the beginning. Or well, enough to keep me second guessing myself. I really like Brett, she’s an intriguing character. Her crush on Simon did annoy me though, he’s slimy and I’ve got a bad feeling about him. The only things I would have like to have seen was more background on some of the characters and more interaction at the tattoo shop. I am hoping the next books have that though. And we definitely need more Tim.

Stars: ★★★★

Recommendation: If contemporary mysteries are your type of thing then you will definitely like this book.
